History 

Interton has been developing hearing aids for over 50 years. Today our products are sold in more than 70 countries.

1962

Interton is founded in 1962 by Hans-Herbert Türk and Hellmuth J. Türk in Cologne, Germany.

 

1985

The second generation of the Türk family joins the company.

 

1992

Interton releases its first programmable hearing aid.

 

2001

Interton takes over the American company Authorised Hearing Systems, including a contract to supply hearing aids to Veteran Affairs.

 

2005

The GN ReSound Group buys Interton.

 

2008

Interton introduces SLIM – only 5 mm wide and the slimmest Receiver-in-the-Ear hearing aid ever made at that time.

 

2008

Interton introduces RELAY – the first digital wireless hearing aid for CROS and BiCROS.

 

2008

Interton introduces the Avio series. Three full families launched at the same time.

 

2009

Interton launches a new corporate visual identity, with a new tagline: “Essential Hearing”.
